An angel! We selected ALIRA at the 2007 Ft. Worth Select Sale to add to our stellar group of females. She is a unique blend of Peruvian and Chilean bloodlines. ALIRA holds a special place in our heart, as well as her past owners. She was the ring bearer for Kay Patterson and Eric Sharpnack when they tied the knot on Hinterland in 1996. Sherry Sheridan snatched her up at the Hinterland Walkabout Sale in 1999 and used her in her program for several years.
ALIRA is sired by 1993 Peruvian import *EL FUERTE who was selected by Jim Vicker's DVM for Camelid's of Delaware's first importation from Peru. He was purchased by Iris Christ of Llama Woods and Kay Patterson-Sharpnack of Hinterland at the October 15th, 1993 Peruvian Selection Sale. *EL FUERTE produced only 62 offspring during his short breeding career, and is considered the most prepotent Peruvian of his time, whose get and grand-get are claiming more National Futurity and Grand Champion titles than perhaps any other male to date.
Dam, ALEETA, hails from the Meadow Woods program and goes back to PIERRE'S VIVA CAMACHO, who is one of the highest selling males at public auction of all time. VIVA is sired by *MACHO CAMACHO, who came in on the 1984 Chilean importation, and is the most prepotent full Chilean Males, featured in many numerous pedigrees.
ALIRA is without a doubt a stellar animal, with abundant fiber coverage and square conformation. She was shown at the 2007 HOBO Show where she took Grand Champion honors, at 11 years of age! She is the dam of several spectacular babies, among them, our upcoming Jr. Herdsire ALOHA ANDIAMO.
1996 ALIRA was the ring bearer at Eric Sharpnack and Kay Pattersons wedding.
